Sensor Data Privacy: Understanding Misuse and Addressing Information Gaps
Abstract
In today's world, sensor technology is all-pervasive, impacting various aspects of daily life from healthcare to urban planning. Despite its prevalence, public understanding of sensor data storage, usage, and privacy remains limited. This project aims to address this gap by exploring these complexities and developing a digital solution to enhance public awareness. While sensor data offers numerous benefits in fields like healthcare and agriculture, concerns about privacy and security persist. By empowering individuals with knowledge, the project seeks to foster informed decision-making and responsible use of sensor technology.
Through an interactive digital platform, accessible information and resources will be provided to facilitate public engagement and understanding. Engaging participants in a speculative game and presenting network diagrams, the project fosters a deeper understanding of how sensor data influences our environment, prompting critical thinking and fostering a proactive approach to navigating our sensor-rich world.
