In Pursuit Of Sight

We began our unit taken by Junuka Deshpande by selecting a location and conducting sound recordings, followed by developing a film concept. I chose to create a documentary centered around my Mother’s Eye Hospital, aiming to depict the patient's journey. Our initial task involved capturing shots of the environment, activities, and individuals at the location.

The patient experiences a range of emotions when entering a hospital, from apprehension in the waiting area to heightened anxiety upon entering the operating room. The fear of the unknown and anticipation of the upcoming procedure can be overwhelming. The atmosphere within the operating room, filled with medical equipment and professionals, can be daunting. However, there is a sense of relief and comfort once the operation is successfully completed. I got to experience this and observe what happens in an eye hospital, what happens inside the operation theatre. At some instances even I was nervous inside the OT wondering what the patient is going through.
