Manipal Foundation Project

The Manipal Foundation mural is a collaborative project between Ananya Wadhwana and I, where we painted a vibrant mural outside a girls' bathroom in a Bangalore government school. Thanks to the generous funding from the Manipal Foundation, the two-day-long project was aimed at transforming the wall into a colourful and aesthetically pleasing illustration, providing a cheerful and welcoming atmosphere for the girls.For me, this project goes beyond just painting a wall; it embodies my belief in the power of art to create positive change in communities. As we dipped our brushes into paint, each stroke carried not only colour but also the hopes and aspirations of the young girls who would soon pass by this mural daily.Through this project, I sought to not only beautify the space but also to instil a sense of pride and ownership among the girls, showing them that their environment can reflect their identities and experiences.
