Archives From Parvati

This project is an exploration of my own emotional landscape, where the 2023 Himachal Flash Floods served as a catalyst to propel me into introspection and self-discovery. The floods forced me to confront my own sense of responsibility and accountability for a place that has not only shaped me but become an intrinsic part of my identity. During the time of the calamity, I was not in that space – this made me confront the unsettling realisation that while I may physically depart from Parvati Valley, my heart remains tethered to its verdant slopes and cerulean skies.

Building on the transformative power of personal experiences, I delved into my subconscious to understand the intricacies of my relationship with the valley. The work attempts to capture the essence of resilience and renewal, as I grapple with my own role in the preservation of the place that has played a pivotal role in shaping my identity.
