Narrative Kitchen

I created illustrations for Narrative Kitchen, a project focused on discovering stories within our community. Each illustration tells a unique story inspired by conversations I had with people during our trip to Kochi. For example, one piece features an elderly Portuguese couple sharing their journey of settling in Kochi, while another depicts a team working together in a kitchen, reflecting our collaborative spirit. One of the most striking discoveries was a church in Kochi that initially challenged my perceptions. Walking through the streets, I mistook the church for a temple due to its architectural details, the lamp situated in front, and the practice of people removing their slippers before entering. Additionally, women selling flowers outside the church further reinforced this impression. These similarities made me reconsider my assumptions. Each illustration captures the personal stories and insights gained from these enriching conversations, offering a visual narrative of our journey and the people we met.
