Abstract
Constraints have always intrigued me, pushing me to delve deeper into my subjects. They fuel my creativity and innovation, enriching my learning journey. In our film projects, despite limitations in equipment, we experimented with magnification and lensing techniques. Drawing inspiration from poems and short writings, we crafted visual narratives. Initially, we embraced constraints by using random prompts and shooting with a phone instead of a camera. This introduced challenges in lighting and quality, but using only the 24 mm lens on my iPhone sparked new perspectives. Breaking the barrier of distance with human subjects led to more engaging conversations, enriching the shoot experience.
