Feathers Of My Heart

Meeting Sateesh sparked my curiosity about him and his pigeons, especially amid negative perceptions of pigeons in the media. As someone who kept a distance from animals due to past experiences, it was challenging to overcome my reservations and capture the beautiful bond between humans and animals. My mother's health issues, triggered by pigeons, and media reports about pigeon-related problems added to my apprehension. Despite failed attempts to get closer for shots, I gradually overcame my aversion and found joy in capturing Sateesh's strong connection with his birds.

At the end of the whole journey I see that I have picked up one topic throughout the year and have experimented with it in as many ways as possible and this mindset of experimenting with one topic has helped me explore myself and the topic in a deeper sense. The liminal space that I was in, obviously contributed to this experimentational mindset and now these experiments have reaped a lot of learning, resulting in a boost of confidence to make me feel like I am not stuck in a space of transition anymore but have built my will enough to create solid impact in the society through the skills that I have developed through all these years.
