Branding And Packaging Design For A Bakery

Abstract

My independent study revolved around branding and packaging design for a small bakery startup, aiming to create visual elements that resonate with the target audience and foster community connection. The project explores how branding and packaging design can communicate the essence of a brand and engage consumers within the context of a bakery startup.

By creating branding elements like logos, colour schemes, and typography, along with packaging design for bakery products, the project seeks to establish a cohesive visual identity reflective of the bakery's values and personality while appealing to its target demographic.

While not directly addressing inclusivity or accessibility, the project demonstrates how design initiatives can contribute to community engagement. By creating visuals that connect with consumers, it promotes inclusivity within the community it serves, despite the absence of a direct focus on inclusivity or accessibility.

The project's special aspect lies in its meticulous attention to tailoring visual identity to the bakery's target audience, showcasing a consumer-centric approach to design. The project involved was informed by my personal experience as a passionate home baker, and I was able to draw from my personal experiences to develop a brand identity that resonated with baking enthusiasts and customers alike.

In terms of crossing over, the project transitions from traditional branding and packaging design into community engagement, leveraging design as a tool to foster connection and inclusivity within a specific demographic.
