Unveiling Various Faces Of The Indian Women Through The Emblematic Indian Atire- The Saree

Exploring the historical engagement of women in diverse activities since the Vedic period, I employed the sari as a potent metaphor to illustrate the evolving identity of women. Seeking to delve deeper into this theme, I experimented with digital prints on textiles. Drawing inspiration from various paintings spanning different eras, I created digital illustrations that encapsulated the essence of women's multifaceted roles and experiences. As an apparel design student, I wanted to blend traditional attire with contemporary artistry These illustrations were subsequently transferred onto a sari, Through this fusion of past and present, I aimed to celebrate the resilience, creativity, and dynamism of women across time.
